Wyoming has more pronghorn than any other state, with a population near half a million animals.

Wyoming
Nearly two-thirds of the world’s pronghorn live within a few hundred miles of Casper, Wyoming. Sagebrush country gives them winter food.

Other states
Montana, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon and the Dakotas also hold good pronghorn numbers.
Public land
The Charles Sheldon refuge country of the Great Basin played a key role in the pronghorn recovery and still offers hunts.
